Gemserv Limited is the service company established by the retail UK electricity market to provide governance management skills and expertise to utility markets as a whole. The establishment of Gemserv is recognition that the work in support of the MRA could be beneficially applied into other markets for the mutual benefit of all parties.

Gemserv is a completely separate legal entity from MRASCo and the provisions of the services as set out in the MRA are the subject of a Services Agreement between Germserv and MRASCo. Any alteration to the Services Agreement requires the unanimous approval of the MRA Executive Committee and this arrangement ensures that electricity services are protected.
