Inform the relevant parties of the new MAP Id if necessary.
Activity Description - March 2003

The Meter operator will, under instruction from the supplier, install new PPM metering, replace or reconfigure existing PPM metering or energise previously installed PPM metering. The MO may need to contact the MAP to arrange and agree specification of metering equipment required or retrieval of metering equipment. Where the MAP Id for the removed metering equipment is different to the MAP Id for the installed metering equipment, a D0303 is sent to both the Old MAP and New MAP. MO sets debt recovery as required (for Smartcard meters, this would be achieved via remote command messaging once the meter has been fitted). The DC could reset the existing meter but in such case he would be acting as the agent of the MO. The MO can put an initial or emergency credit into the meter to cover the period until issue of card/key/ID card (for Smartcard meters, the initial credit can only be changed via remote command messaging once the meter is installed). The MO may need to obtain Site Technical Details from the Distributor prior to installation of a new PPM.
Where the MO has received notification of a change of meter ownership, the MO will provide the Supplier and Distributor with the MAP details.
Where the MO installs a new PPM meter or replaces an existing PPM meter, they will provide ECOES with meter information (Meter Serial Number, Date of Meter Installation, Meter Type, and MAP ID) within 10 working days. Where D0304 is recieved indicating a change of MAP then MO is also required to send metering information flow to ECOES.
