Executive SummaryCurrently there is no mechanism for DNOs to advise the Supplier and the Meter Operators of any failed attempts to fix any Category B network fault. As a result, DNOs are sending the D0126 data flow using the Asset Condition Clearance code D= Dispute to report any failed attempts. There are only two Asset condition clearance codes on the data item J1823 (C and D). Asset Condition Code 'C' is used when the Asset Condition Safety issue is cleared and we believe that the Asset Condition Code 'D' should be used to Dispute the Safety Issue raised by the Meter Operator. We believe that the purpose of Dispute 'D' code was to identify any MOP training issues. We have noticed that some DNOs are sending D0126 data flows to report any failed attempts to fix any Category B network fault and they are expecting the Meter Operators or the Suppliers to re-issue the D0135 data flow, whereas others are sending D0126 data flow to inform the Suppliers and the Meter Operators of any failed attempts to fix any Category B network fault and they continue to work on resolving the Asset Condition Safety issue. We are trying to establish if the DNOs are expecting the Suppliers or the Meter Operators to re-issue the D0135 data flow in these circumstances.
