Executive Summary
Further to discussions at CoSEG, Ofgem have asked the industry to reduce Erroneous Transfers (ETs) and improve performance. More recently, discussions at Energy UK have further increased the priority, specifically on the following issue. We are proposing the new supplier has the ability to withdraw from their own electricity registrations when an ET occurs. Currently a high percentage of co-operative objections fail to be objected to and this then results in the customer being erroneously transferred back to the old supplier. This proposal will reduce the number of ETs, provide efficiencies for Suppliers and benefit customers through maximising their exposure to a simple and accurate CoS process. It will also enable future rationalisation of the electricity CoS process.Change History
