Executive SummaryWhere a supplier is notified that a planned metering job cannot proceed (e.g. access will not be available), there is no automated flow by which the supplier can inform the MOp. Under present arrangements this must be done via telephone or email. This is not an efficient means of communicating this information. Additionally, this does not provide a sufficiently robust audit trail in the case of any future disputes (e.g. the MOp advises that such notification was never received and charges for the failed visit). Further resources are then required by all parties to investigate and resolve such issues.
