Critical Friend

A good Code Administrator will support Code Parties in its role as a ‘critical friend’. The key aspects of a critical friend include:

1. Providing Clear Primary Contacts

Parties with questions on the operations and governance of the MRA are encouraged to contact the MRA helpdesk in the first instance.

Named contacts for all MRA parties can be found within the Industry Contacts Database.

2. Providing Information to Code Parties

Our team can help you to understand:

  • The role of the Code Administrator;
  • The Modification Rules;
  • How to propose a Modification;
  • The activity of the Workgroups and Workstreams; and
  • The methods of keeping updated.

Simply contact the MRA helpdesk for answers to your questions.

3. A Guide to the Website

The home page of the MRASCo website has quick link access to the main areas, such as the Change Tracker, Huddle log-in and the Industry Contacts Database. There is also easy navigation to specific areas using the toolbar across the top of the page.

Alternatively, you can visit the Site Map for a single view of all pages on the website.

4. Pre-Panel Information

The agenda for every meeting of the MRA Executive Committee (MEC) and the MRA Development Board (MDB) is circulated to all MRA parties, via nominated Contract Managers.

5. Impartiality

The Code Administrator provides an independent chair for a number of MRA Expert Groups.

We also support smaller parties and all Modifications, including asking the basic questions and playing devil’s advocate where required.
